- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring effective team management and collaboration.
- Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Handle food production efficiently while maintaining quality standards during busy service periods.
Requirements for this role
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other culinary roles within a restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
